Sports Bras
Why wear a sports bra?
No woman wants saggy breasts or breast pain. The breast does not contain strong intrinsic structural support. This means that ligaments can be easily stretched if repeatedly loaded, such as during exercise, and over half of woman feel some kind of pain and discomfort when exercising without a supportive bra.
To reduce pain and movement of the breasts when exercising, woman should always wear a well-fitting sports bra.
Which type of sports bra?
There are two main types of sports bra. Encapsulated bras separate and support each breast in its own cup, and sometimes have underwiring. Compression bras compress the breasts to the body. Compression bras are generally more common, but you can wear whichever style you prefer.
What type of impact?
The higher the level of activity, the higher level of support you'll need. Most sports bra manufacturers indicate the level of activity for which their various sports bras are best suited. Your cup size is important too. Generally larger busted women will need more support and a higher impact bra than smaller breasted women.
